Newbie!

Just a few questions. My insurance won't cover the Lap Band surgery. Is there a way around this? If my gynecologist writes an order saying that it will help cure/minimize effects from my PCOS, will that help? Any advice appreciated. I'm scheduled for my consult on June 5. :) Have been creeping here for a while now! Seems like a great place!

Hello and welcome! From my experience in the healthcare industry, if an insurance company doesn't cover the surgery, it doesn't matter who writes a letter on your behalf regardless of the condition. Is the surgery specifically excluded or did you not qualify? There is a difference. Good luck to you!
