I had surgery May 10th,and this may be too much info, but I had not had a menstrual period for over a year and my Dr thought I was pre menopausel and since I had surgery ,I recently started my menstrual again. Has this happened to anyone? And again sorry for too much info, just curious if anyone has gone thru this.

Me!!! I have an IUD- Mirena. I haven't had a period in MONTHS like 8-12 months, I can't remember. Anyway, when I started the pre-op diet, immediately I started my period. And it wasn't the spotting (I know, TMI) that I've always experienced on Mirena. It lasted 7 days. Then, just like clockwork exactly one month later, started again- 10 days long this time. Weird!!

Yeah it is wierd, some people tell me its cause I've lost a few pounds,I've lost 17 pounds so far ,with the liquid diet and having the lapband surgery ,but hopefully it doesn't last forever,I liked not having one at all. Thanks for responding ,it helps to hear other peoples experiences.
