New here 1st appointment was today

HI all!! I had an appointment today with my regular doctor and got my referal for lap band. I go for my information seminar on the 24th. The receptionist that scheduled me said my insurance requires 9 months of dr supervised diet to get approval. I have sleep apnea and my BMI is over 40 so my doctor feels there will be no problem getting approval! I'm anxious to see what the next year holds and to get to "know" everyone here!

    Congrats!!! Its a wonderful site! I wish i would have found it before i had my surgery but sad to say i found it right after.

    Do you have any idea yet how long you have to see the dr and all that to get approved?
