did i go to solids too quickly?

I started mushies on day seven post surgery, and was doing regular food by the end of two weeks. I haven't had any issues and I'm over a month post op at this point...with a fill scheduled for may 15.

I was just wondering if i could have done something wrong that will give me issues later? My stomach was so upset during that first two week period i felt like i needed to eat something solid to get it to stop.

Any thoughts on what can happen if you start solids to soon?

Those rules are in place to try and keep you from getting anything lodged in the stoma...the stomach has to heal from the trauma of being banded for at least a month. I'm not your surgeon, but in my oppinion, unless they gave you permission to eat what you wanted, you may want to go back to liquid or mushies for a few weeks.

Good luck!

The person to ask this question to is your surgeon, what were his guidelines for the time line for liquids, mushies and solid food. They are what you should be following. It doesnt sound like u did any damage but u need to ask what you should be eating.
