A TMI type of question

To all those May banders on the pre-op diet...Are you having trouble with constipation? I knew this would happen with so much protein and so little carbs/fiber. This is one of my biggest fears about getting banded. The other more invasive WLS I hear have the opposite problem. I've taken Miralax the last 3 days to no avail. Does anything work for you? Thanks!

I take Miralax on Wednesday's and Sunday's at night and it keeps me moving right along. Once it starts working, you can try maintaining by taking it twice a week. That stuff is a miracle worker!

  • I'm glad it worked for you. Good luck on your journey.

I have been taking Colace (i think that is how it is spelled) regularly, It is a stool softener It works well, slow though. Magnesium citrate on the other hand should move you right along.:) I'm not a Dr., you may need to ask them first.

Thanks for the advice ladies. That magnesium citrate worked wonders. :)

I guess I wasn't expecting much to come out so I wasn't disappointed. Perhaps there is more to come out though? Should I try something or leave well enough alone?
