Congrats on getting your band.......I totally agree with line-dancer on getting your heating pad out or buying one if you don't have one now. Also, get ready to walk because I got banded on April 11th of this year and managed to hold onto some of the gas they put in your abdomen to do the surgery. It hurts and mine hung out for approx. 4 days. My heating pad was my best friend as was my daily walks. Don't mean to scare you, just giving you the whole truth as I wish someone had done for me.

Last and most important is always remember that any pain or discomfort you endure is only a temporary thing and it will go away!!! Follow your surgeon's rules to the letter no matter what anyone else says they did or didn't do....then get ready for your new life!!!! Good luck to you!!!! Keep us posted.

Congratulations! Mine is the 26th. I went to goodwill and bought a heating pad for $2. I'm only going to need it for 2 weeks and traveling in an rv, space is minimal, so I can just bring it back to them when I'm done. Anyhoo, best wishes!

Please make sure you don't schedule yourself to return to work too soon. Heads up.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
