I am so excited and nervous! I will also be having hernia repair so wonder if that will also take longer recovery but in the edit will all be worth it! I will also be praying for our quick recovery! And to our new beginning :)

You guys will do awesome! I went today an am not it much pain or nausea. They even said I had a small hernia and stitched it up. I think tomorrow is going to be different though.

The anesthesia had me a little disoriented even a few hours after getting home. OH, yeah....my stomach is completely orange...lol

I look like an oompaloompa!!

Good luck tomorrow, don't freak out too much, you will do great and everything will be ok.

Did most of you already know you had a hernia before the surgery?

No, they can't really tell if you have a hiatial hernia until they are placing the band. It is a high chance you have one if you have chronic heartburn.

The Dr. gave me pics of the band and my hernia.. Lol

Kinda cool to have a souvenir besides the scars.

BTW, don't use metamucil! I did today and had nothing but trouble all day, it got stuck.

They did an endoscopy on Monday to check for a hernia, that's how they found it.

Hi just wondering how your doing post-op, hope all is well and your recovery is coming along for our first day:)

How's everyone doing? 3 days post opp I was down another 5 lbs for a total of 20 with the pre opp, however I've lost nothing for the past week!!!!!! It's sooooooooo damn frustrating, as I've been around 1000 calories the past few days, ugh!!!! Please tell me I'm not alone...
