Band tighter while sick?

I have the flu and my band is A LOT tighter now that I'm sick. Is this normal? I'm having trouble even getting fluids going down without feeling stuck.

Do you have any fill? My surgeon said to come in immediately and get the band unfilled completely if I'm sick with something like the flu in case I throw up and the band slips.

I notices my band would get right during PMS or if I was sick. I thought I was crazy ;) my doc told me that within a 30 day period my band can certainly fluctuate. it will calm down again, drink fluids, etc. your stomach may be aggravated or inflamed from the cold. I'd worry if it lasts more than a week or two but it sure wouldn't hurt to check with your doc.

Thank you ladies. I was starting think I was crazy. I'll try some warm broth and see if I can't get it to open up some. I'm finally in the green zone and really don't want to have an unfil because I'm sick.
