Calorie intake limit?

So I'm just curious, is there a calorie limit during your initial post op phase? I received a packet from my Drs office, but it doesn't list how many calories I should be consuming a day. It just gives me what I should eat, which i'm following. Also, I'm supposed to be consuming 60oz of fluids/day. So far I've only managed to consume 24oz and that's me really trying to drink fluids. I can't really tell when I'm hungry or it's just gas which makes it hard to drink anything. Just wondering what you guys were told.

Drink 2-3 oz of Protein at the top of each hour. Sip 3 oz of liquid each 15 minutes of the hour. Repeat.

If you are awake for 14 hours, the net will be around 28-42 oz of protein and 126 oz of liquids. If you break it up like this it is easy to get it all in. Always have a Water bottle with you. You may not get any prescribed number of calories in, but you will get the protein and liquids which are most important during this healing phase. Worry about total calories when you start adding in solid food.

My dr told me 1000 from the gitgo.... Liquids or solids... To be honest I was lucky to get in 800 for the first several weeks

Mine said 1000-1200 calories liquids or solids. My first 3 weeks I was lucky to hit between 600-700 calories a day. For two years I ate between 900-1200 calories and rarely if ever went over this amount.
