Lab Band Surgery date set!!!

I got word on Friday that my date is set for January 10!!!! I have every emotion running through me and am still in shock. Went through a long six month battle with my Insurance! Anyone have any advice or knows any tips!? I am also looking for shakes, but the ones I have tried have a very chalky after taste! Looking for any and all advice!

Hello and Welcome!

First, congrats on taking the first steps towards reclaiming your health :)

It's totally normal to be nervous. I know i was downright scared. The best advice I can offer is to be prepared. Do your shopping for your first 2 weeks post op before you go into this hospital. Also, pack smart when going to the hospital. If you're staying overnight, don't forget loose comfy clothes to come home in an a robe to keep your bum covered when they make you walk the walls after surgery.

As far as shakes, I personally really like the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury. I tried multiple brands I couldn't even stomach.

Best wishes to you!!

I like the already made EAS they come premade. I get them at BJ's by the case for about 25 dollars. Thats less then a dollar a shake.

I like EAS also and get stool softners and laxative and begin the softners the week or more before so its easier to pass the gas and find your heating pad.. good luck and keep us posted.
