Hiccups

I get hiccups all the time at the weirdest times. I have them several times a day normally last a few minutes only: but I get them at the weirdest times.. Like when I'll be doing nothing! I've had this for a few years..

Anyone know why?

Nope... if you are eating when it happens it generally means you are full.

Are you banded? My doctor says I get them from drinking to fast. I get them all the time since I've been banded. But I also had them before, not this much but more then the average person. I also had. Hiatal hernia.

Are you drinking carbonated stuff?

Not yet.. I'm wondering if this is a sign that I may have a hiatial hernia. I get my egd done on the 27th and if I get the surgery now i have to have the hernia so my insurance will pay for half. So I'm super nervous.
