Crazy Gas Pains!

Was fine for the first couple of days, but the gas pains seem to be getting the better of me. At least I think it's gas, pain seems to start right around where my port is and travels up to my left shoulder. Pain feels like someone is in there with a knife just twisting it around, anybody else think this is gas,or am I just going nuts! By the way I was banded on October 11, so these odd pains are new to me.

I was banded on October 12, yes I renember those pains they sucked! A heating pad on my shoulder helped and walking around the house helped. now i'm back at work no gas pain but I get back aches.

This is very normal as they blow air into your stomach during surgery to move around in there. Try burping if you can. My husband said I burped like a sailor the first week. I used a heating pad and between that and letting the air out by burping, it wasn't that bad.

Hang in there. It gets better.

Walk, walk, and walk some more! Did I mention you should walk?? lol

I was banded on the 9th and today my shoulder and gas pains have finally subsided. Walking, water and the heating pad have been my best friends.
