question for the ladies

hi i wondering if anyone else had this problem i leave for mexico on the first surgery on april 4 the problem i think i'm going to start my montly can they still do surgery this is my luck i know it's coming,has anyone else had this happen?i thought i fiqure it right husband already taken off work so i have no choice but to go how enbassing judyc

Surgeons & surgical teams have seen it all, believe me. :confused: Just let them know... they'll either tell you to use a tampon, or give you "special" underwear, or put a big ol' heavy, thick pad between your legs.

Not the optimal solution, but no reason to cancel a surgery! ;)

thank you i fiqure if your stomach is swelled maybe the band wouldn't get wrap around right and what about when the swelling goes down is the band going to be loss? i don't know i quess i'm getting a little nervious i may get likee and not get it tell the 5

I was on my period and it made no difference. They are very used to this, it affects the surgery in no way.

I was on my period for my band surgery too. Don't worry about it - like everyone else has said it won't make a difference. And if you're crampy, there's always the morphine pump! :confused:

Having it during my monthly posed no problems other than my anxiety which proved totally uncalled for.
