I'm sure I'll need someone to drive me home afterwards, but do I need to plan on having someone spend a night with me? More than one night? Am I likely to need physical support (lifting things, etc) or emotional support (pain management, meal prep, etc.)?

I stayed 1 night in the hospital and had my dad drive me home the next day. I live alone and I was fine. It was a little hard getting in/out if bed, but overall I was fine and didn't need help. Good luck!

My surgeon required I have someone stay for 24hrs to watch for complications, after that I was on my own. My husband works out of state.
