I Get My First Fill Today...

I am a little nervous because I get my first fill today. According to my doctor he puts 2-3 ccs in when he does the surgery and will do 2-3 the first fill. The goal is to start at 5ccs as most of his patients get restriction between 6-8 ccs. I hear it is not painful so I am not worried about that. I am just paranoid of being stuck. I know I know...chew chew and small bites. The truth is everyone is different so even if I do that something may not agree with my band (rice, bread, etc.)

Getting something is scary the first time but then you will know what to expect. I find its easier just to excuse myself to the bathroom and purge than to sit at the table in pain waiting for the food to go down. Also I make it a habit to remember the foods that get stuck not to eat them again or be very careful when eating them

It ended up being a breeze. It was pain free!

I didn't feel anything on Sept 18, the first fill of 1.5cc.
