I am 3 days post opt and I just finished walking about 15 mins in the park. I feel ok. My stiches hurt every now.and agin and the gas is bearable. The hardest part for me is remembering to drink 2 oz of Protein ever hour. But I have faith that I will get the hang of it! I also miss swinging on the swing with my little sister but ill hope I will be able to do that next month :โ€ข))

Three days out and it sounds like you are doing great! Honestly I think the more you are up and move the quicker you are back to yourself! I am 3 weeks out and was just at a Bouncy Place last night with my two little ones and was climbing and jumping like a champ! (and sweating!!). Before you know it you will feel great again. As for drinking your Protein, if you need help set a timer on your cell phone.... Good luck and you will be swinging before you know it!

I was banded on the 7th as well. I was in a lot of pain the first two days but today I'm feeling so much better. Not 100% but it's not as bad as it was. The gas pains are more tolerable today but I want them to go away fast because my back and shoulder pains are what's causing me to not want to get up and move more. I am on full liquids for two weeks but I don't know that I can go that long. I love the homemade broth that I have and I am slowly sipping on watered down apple sauce to give me the feeling like I'm eating. Otherwise I think I'll be good to go back to work on Tuesday. Does anyone have any idea as to how long the gas pains will last? Or any other ideas besides walking and gas X to relieve the gas pains? I hope you are all doing well and recovering fast.

Lindsay

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. ย Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿ˜ญ. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! ๐Ÿ˜ž
