How to find local support groups??

Hi group,

How can you find info about local lapband support groups in your area?

For example: I live in Boston, MA. so what are the local (real people) support groups listings in there

I went on google and did "lap-band forum and 'insert your hometown here' " and found some forums that way. That's actually how I found this site since my state's forum is pretty active.

Hi wavy,

Maybe you misunderstood me. I meant how to find an actual real people local support group (not an online forum)

I guess i got you confused, so I went and edited my post:) Thanks a lot though:)

Hi, you could ask the staff at the surgeons office for support group information. Also the hospital would have that information. Also the magazines from obesityhelp and wlslifestyles list all certified support groups. Hope this helps. Mona:)
