I'm so glad I found this forum! It is good to know others have similar thoughts and fears. I am waiting to hear the avaiable date,but hoping for September 6th.

Are they talking about you having surgery on September 6th? Are you on a special diet? I'm just curious because my doc made me start on one 2 weeks before he could do the procedure.

Welcome! I just recently found this site myself after talking to my dietician about support groups. I have learned a lot of great information and look forward to the support I gain after surgery. I have my consult on Sept 6 and then have to wait for insurance approval so I'm hoping for surgery in October which is my birthday so "Happy Birthday to Me!"

I think I only will have a special diet for a few day prior to surgery but I will find out for sure on Monday. Are you scheduled for September too?

I had my Lap Band placed November 19, 2010. I enjoy reading about how different docs have different requirements as far as pre and post surgery. Good luck!
