I was banded in august 2010. I'm only down 50 lbs and feel like i have no restriction so today i got another fill. i am now at 8cc.... hopefully this will do it... i am very sore around my band which is something that i have never felt before. is this normal or can something be wrong. I'm worried that the PA could have punctured a whole in the band.. is that possible?? am i being paranoid??

Fills do not get any where near the band so the answer is most likely no. The port will be many inches and a rib cage away from the band. If you are sore around your band you may have some edema from the fill. That's why you are supposed to be on liquids until the swelling goes down. Once you can eat solids again you will know if the fill is working if you can feel food passing through the portal slowly or even having slight stuck episode.
