Is Anyone Else Scared....

...of failure?

I'm sure this is somewhat normal but I just want to hit the ground running and find success. I am mostly nervous about the time between having the surgery and the first fill. My doctor schedules the first fill after 4-6 weeks of the surgery. Do people still lose during that time?

My surgery is August 1st. I'm excited for the journey.

Yes, people do lose at the time between surgery and first fill. I was banded 5 1/2 weeks ago and am scheduled for first fill next week. With the help of the post-surgery diet, I have lost 22 pounds

I was terrified of failure. I honestly couldn't picture myself losing weight successfully. Heck, even the day after surgery, I remember laying in bed in tears thinking "what have I done to myself?"

Good luck....can't believe I have to wait until the 28th, I just want it done now.....

I too scared of "blowing it" because of my lack of will power and support. I have no family and very few friends...so I am scared of failing. However its good to know o have obtained.

Man my grammar is horrible. Meant to say I have lbt!

I go in for surgery on the 13th and I'm terrified. I thought I was afraid of pain from recovery, but I realized I'm more afraid of failure. I'm more afraid of this not working and seemingly being a last resort. I'm afraid of gaining back everything I lose . Meh...we'll see. Good luck and best wishes!

My surgery is on August 13th also! How are you doing on your pre-op diet so far?

@irhodes46 Oh cool! Well it was kind of up in the air about what day I was going to get surgery so I didn't start a pre-op diet yet...but I start tomorrow! :) how are you doing? I've tried a diet exactly the same, just a different brand, as the pre-op one just on my own and it wasn't terrible..I just couldn't do it long term. I hope your surgery goes well!! :)
