Complication?

Okay. I had my third fill and I am at 5.6 at two months post opt. I felt I was in green zone for the first week after this last fill. It was great and I even forgot about eating. However around the same time I got a sinus infection and I developed a cough. It felt like a lung infection but instill have the cough. I feel no restriction now and I am hungry again but this cough is still here. I don't cough at night. Is it just a coincidence that I have a cough or infection around same time as fill? My cough has been productive but now it is not. Anyone have this issue?

I am so scared of a slip or complication. Advise please.

I believe that it is only a coincidence, and I have never read anything about a persistent cough doing any harm to a band. Coughs can linger for months after the initial infection is long gone. I

It sounds like a coincidence. If you were too tight, you'd be having the cough mostly at night not during the day. You'd likely have reflux, too.

  • Did u get some anti-biotics for your cough ? the movement of coughing alone is unlikely to cause any damage to a band as coughing is movement of your diaphram, not your stomach, if u think how much wo

So I am in my 2nd week post op, and for 2 days I feel like I have something stuck in my throat. I can drunk and eat fine. If I keep swallowing it will go away for a second or 2 then right back. I've tried making myself throw up but nothing. Please help....

Coughs can linger for months after the initial infection is long gone. If this is bothering you, I would definitely discuss this with your surgeon...

I hope you feel better...

Did u get some anti-biotics for your cough ? the movement of coughing alone is unlikely to cause any damage to a band as coughing is movement of your diaphram, not your stomach, if u think how much working out and doing ab crunches moves your tummy it doesnt damage the band either, it may feel like it as u are still only 2 months out post op but u should be fine, i often used to get fills have some restriction for a week or 2 then nothing, sometimes the band gets loose because we are still dropping visceral fat internally around our stomach and that will loosen the band.

Hope u feel better soon ...

I heard that the feeling you describe is when you are too full. You are still really healing. I would call the dr but you will probably feel better real soon. At the end of week 2 start of 3 is when i felt normal.
