Once you start getting fills you will notice a difference with what you can eat, how much, how fast etc. If you are not careful you might get stuck and then you will really know that you have a band. Other than that it shouldn't really be noticeable. It is part of you and you shouldn't be any more aware of it than you are aware of something like your liver or your kidneys. You know that they are there and they do their job but they do it without calling attention to themselves.
