I have always shopped at Lane Bryant or the Avenue for the past 20 years, today I went in and the smallest size fit me comfortably. I was sad though(weird because I always wanted to get out of that store) I talked to the sales girl who suggested I try NY and Co because their sizes go to an 18. I went there and bought a sexy top in a Large and pants in a large as well (ok they have a bit of strech in them but I didn't need the XL they carry) yay!

This was the first time I have have shopped in a "normal size" store

Congratulations!! It's such a big thing to realize that the stores and catalogs we used to depend on are no longer appropriate. I just threw out my Silhouettes catalog because even their smallest size would have been on the large side for me. I used to LOVE Silhouettes!!

Welcone to scary world of "normal" sizes!

Excellent!!! You are doing great!  :D

WTG Alexra,

I can see why you would be sad, your venturing out of your comfort zone and into foreign lands ....... but ohhhh ohhh how exciting !!!!

I can't wait for my turn :)
