My BMI is consistantly 34, will I qualify for the band? Ive tried all the diets just as most of you probably have and finally decided the lapband surgery was the direction I should go but after reading about it I'm afraid I wont qualify.

Here is a write up of requirements. Do you have any medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea or cholesterol issues? Believe it or not the more crap you got wrong with you the better chances of approval.

I just sent in my info for a consultation. My BMi is 38 so with my insurance I have to a BMi over 40 to automatically qualify and 35-39 I must have high blood pressure diabetes or sleep apnea along with it to qualify. I go monday to get blood work for diabetes as I didn't have high blood pressure. If no diabetes I'll be on to the sleep study to check for sleep apnea.
