Still Struggling

Hi, I'm Stacy. I have had two lapband surgery. The first one was 12/06 and the band was too small and I was very sick so my surgeon took out the band and replaced it with a large band in March of 2009.

I really haven't lost much weight. I recently started exercising again but I have been eating all the wrong foods so I still am not losing.

I am on here, just to claim my seat and learn from those who have had success with the band.

Hi, I'm two years out I sympathize with You because it isn't a cake walk having the band. I have had my ups and downs with the band. I am having terrible acid reflux that I never had before in two years. Through all of the productive burping and stuck episodes I have success! My starting weight was 294 I now weigh 191. So just be patient and work with the band.

Stacy I'm going to be banded in June this year...I know you'll succeed, just keep at it and find some better foods to eat...YOU CAN DO IT!

Congratulations on identifying your own issues - eating the wrong foods and not exercising. Now that you are addressing them, you will enjoy success!

I'm not banded yet but try to stay focused and think about where you want to be. Make mini goals and write everything down. Don't lose focus on the reason you had this surgery you can be successful ! I'm praying for your success.
