Welcome!

This group forum is a place to discuss lap band with plication. As a candidate for this surgery I know it was hard to find any information on it. Hopefully we can get comments, concerns, and questions to start and maintain a positive atmosphere for all of us :)

Thanks for joining! Everything I have seen is super positive also. The plication is suppose to prevent band slippage and faster weight loss. I have a consultation on the 16th and hope to find out even more. :)

Hi, I have a question. My surgeon is doing what he calls the " i band " which he expalins as a lap band, and then he inverts your stomach and sews it so it looks like "the sleeve" when he is done. Is this official term Lap band with Plication?

Thanks!
