Dont Know If I Have A Prob....

I was banded 8 days ago on April 24. Seems as though my port site has gotten more tender and is swollen. It also has a round egg size area that is firm. My bf says no it isnt more swollen. I dont know if I have a problem or if I am pushing myself physically too soon or what. I am definitely more sore. I also am no longer taking any pain meds so this may be why. Has anyone had a prob like this?

Thank you for your help. I did end up seeing my surgeon. I had fluid building up around my port that needed to be drained. I feel much better!

When in doubt give your doctor a call. But just to reassure you a little. I'm about 6 weeks out. My port site still gets sore from time to time especially if I wear pants that push on it. I too half a egg size firm spot that is very obvious (mostly in the morning hours). I asked my doctor about it on my follow up and he said both were normal. But again....its always best to ask the doctor or nurse.
