New To Lapbandtalk

Hello! I am new to this site. I went for my first appt with my surgeon last week. I know my insurance will cover the proceedure; I am just not sure how many hoops I will have to jump through first. I have already weined myself off sugar, caffiene, and sodas. Now I am trying different shakes to find out what which ones taste the best to me. I would appreciate any suggestions anyone is willing to offer on the subject. However, I also cannot have chocolate, which rules out most of the ones I have tried in the past. I wish everyone the best of luck!

Hello there,

i just joined minutes ago. I had my banding done July 2011. I was nervous initially but as I begin to complete the stages of preparation. I became more relax. I started off drinking the Whey Protein with water, then I would go get me a strawberry, banana with low fat milk with a protein blast (Smoothie King)

Thanks for the advice. Strawberry, banana sounds good. I will definitely put that on my list of shakes to try.
