I received my phone call today.......March 8th.....now it is starting to feel like it is really going to happen--by Christmas I will be lookin' mighty good in my red sweater, NO MORE black !! LOL !!

Congratulations! Be sure and keep us posted on your progress. Everyone here is so supportive, it can really help through any rough spots... but lets just hope you don't have any of those :confused:

Congrats! March 8th will come very quickly! Where are you having your surgery at? Do you have to do a pre-op diet?

I'm waiting (impatiently!) to schedule a date, but I'm hoping for early March.

Thanks girls for the support !! I am having my surgery in Monmouth County NJ....DR Boreo. He really seems to prefere by-pass but after our conversation he knew i had made the right decision for me. He seems to lean toward by -pass for those who are in a big hurry and wanting fast results. So I felt very confident with him after our first meeting. I have my date but not the final ok from insurance so i am holding my breath for that one !! So far they have told me not to worry that horizon B/S & B/C are band friendly !! Count down time !!

Good Luck! My daughter and I are having ours done this coming Friday in Monterrey, Mexico. My insurance doesn't cover anything to do with weight loss....it's ALL COSMETIC..yeah right! Anyway, I'm forking out the bucks but hey...if it works as well for us as it has for all the others I've been reading about, it will be MORE than worth it...my dad's inheritance will be well spent
