Going For Pre-Op Aapt On April 2Nd 2012

I have tried so many different diets and now I am so ready for the Lap Band. I am 5'5" tall with 250lbs. I am so tired of hearing from my friends and co-workers calling me fat ass. I have tried to loose weight and actually lost 40lbs with HCG 500 calorie diet. After I was done with that diet for 40days all the weight came right back. Right now it is affecting me emotionally. I also have gyenocomastia and hope that this LapBand surgey will help me not only loosing weight but reduce my gyenocomastia. I have not told any of my friends that what I am going to get done for I do not want to hear all the negatives from them. I only have mentioned to 4 of my extremely close friends and they all are very supportive. I am going to have my PreOp Appt on 04/02/2012. Right now I just can't wait to get banded on April 24th 2012. Can anyone tell me what should I be expecting and what I should ask the Surgeron during my PreOp. I will be posting here after my PreOp Appt on 04/02/2012.

Thanks in Advance

Moe

hey moe... congrats on your decision. and welcome to the loosers bench. ( lol get it)

definitely ask about .. the surgery.. how long its gonna be.. how much cc will ur band be fill with at the time of surgery.. be sure to let ur doctor know if u have any anxiety. talk about ur diet and excercise plans so you knwo what to expect and what you should be doing.

dont beat urself up.. its a learning process. good luck with everything and stay positive.

Thanks for all the information. I am so excited to get banded. I am very positive about it and looking forward to it. I am just nervous that someone mentioned that I could die if I start choking.
