Back/side Pain

I had surgery on Friday 3/23 and for the last 2 days I have had awful pain on my left side and back area. Any clue what this might be? I don't think it's gas because I think I have figured out what that feels like and this is different.

It could be referred pain form the gas or it could be from the way that you were lying on the table or maybe they had to move things around a bit to get the band in. Take the meds your Dr has prescribed and if it doesn't get better then he/she is the person to speak to.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had to stop taking the pain med because I'm back at work and taking a nap every couple hours isn't an option anymore lol. I took a tylenol and that worked. If feels like muscle pain I just can't figure out the cause?

I'm having the same issue and I was banded on the 23rd. I guess it's just gas? My body tenses up super hard when I try to pass gas through my mouth or bottom. I'm still having trouble burping and I feel hungry constantly but I haven't added the protein drink yet but I'm doing one tonight so I'm hoping that will help but I'm laying in bed as I type this with horrible pains in my back and side
