I was banded December last year.

I am 41, single mum of 3 teenage boys, full-time nurse, have been living in in Sydney /Australia for the last 16 years but I'm originally from Germany.

Starting weight 102kg, goal weight around 75kg, weight loss around 8kg so far.

Only a few people know I had the surgery and I find it pretty hard to live with the band sometimes, so I'd really appreciate all the help I can get!

Hi Steph, I'm newly banded myself. 1-24-12. If you go to forum down at the bottom there is a group for Looking for mentors/I'll be a mentor. I've just been reading the dailey stuff that gets posted plus talking to a few people locally. Getting the lapband is seems to be more than we signed up for right? But with dedication and determination, we'll get through it, till we will be able to enjoy the weight we have lost and you will have energy to keep up with those boys!
