  1. I don't hiccup, but I burp a lot instead. Very charming, I know!
  2. Thanks Kristi! Meat appears to be the worst culprit, followed by potatoes and bread. I think I do want a small unfill. I have probiotics at home, but am worried because they are capsules. Won't I get stuck on them as well?
  3. Thanks Feliciadawn, I will try and see my doctor earlier than next week. It's really starting to get to me and you're right, I don't want to do any serious damage.
  4. Hi there, I was banded December last year. I am 41, single mum of 3 teenage boys, full-time nurse, have been living in in Sydney /Australia for the last 16 years but I'm originally from Germany. Starting weight 102kg, goal weight around 75kg, weight loss around 8kg so far. Only a few people know I had the surgery and I find it pretty hard to live with the band sometimes, so I'd really appreciate all the help I can get! Looking forward to hearing from my future mentor! Steph
  5. Thank you guys for all the good advice! Yes I can still drink fluids ok. Holly Dolly what's the 5 day pouch test?
  6. I was banded in December and had my first fill 5 weeks ago. Since then I have been stuck a lot and vomitting nearly every day. I have taken some advice from this site and been back on mushie food for a few days to settle any possible swelling which seemed to help a bit. Do you think I might be overfilled? And how do you tell that your band has slipped? I'm really getting worried. Have docto's appointment next week.
  7. I am able to swallow small tablets whole though - larger ones I break up. That's why I'm confused - some people on this site say they can swallow capsules without any problems...
  8. I'm 8 weeks post-op and 2 weeks post 1st fill and get stuck with food fairly regularly, especially in the mornings. Have been on liquid vitamins and fish oil since the surgery but would like to start taking capsules again. I have read a few entries about this on this site and now I'm a bit confused. Has anyone had any experience specifically with fish oil capsules? And what should I do if I get stuck? Does hot tea really help that quickly? I'm scared - please help!!
  9. The doctor I saw didn't know and I forgot to tell her -completely forgot that I had the band until I swallowed that capsule! 10 hours later and I can still feel it...
  10. I was banded on Dec 19 and have had no problems so far. On purees now. Had to swallow an antibiotic capsule for an unrelated infection tonight and it feels like it is stuck now. Quite uncomfortable! What can I do???
