Hello everyone I'm a 40 year old female who was banded on Saturday Feb 4, 2012. I had my banding done at NYU medical center in New York city. I must say my shoulder hurted so much but as of today, i havent felt any pain. What i do feel is the funny sensation on the left side of my chest. when i get it i just freeze in position until it passes. im wondering if anyone else has felt this strange occurance? anyway i joined the forum to get and give support. I look forward to hearinf from you guys.

You are probably feeling gas pains from the anesthesia used during surgery. It can remain in your body for awhile and move from the shoulder, back, chest. I was banded 13 months ago and remember that feeling very well! Just breathe when you feel it and remind yourself that it will pass. Good luck with your journey!!!
