Aetna-3 Months Versus 6 Months For Lap Band Surgery?

I have Aetna, I keep reading where people were given the option of 3 months versus 6 months. How do I find out if I have that. I have called Aetna twice to verify what I need to do and neither mentioned 3 months, and surgeons office didn't mention 3 months as being an option. Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,

Karie

Hi, I checked on-line Aetna's requirements and it states that it can be a 3 month or 6 month but you must see all the proper people (dietician, etc...) a certain amount of times in each. I chose the 3 month and the surgeon I use has a weight management center that has a 3 or 6 month program. It was a lot of appointments but when I finished and they submitted to insurance I got approved in 4 days. Good luck my surgery is 12/21.
