surgery incisions not healing

i was banded 9/16/11 and my port incision and one net to it is not healing! the other 3 smaller ones have healed great!

my doctor REOPENED my incisions today to get a fresh start on healing again. on the port incision i have to pack gauze INTO the wound to soak up a clear liquid that is in a "pocket".....

has this happened to anyone at all.... my doctor said there is NO infection just not healing like i should....

if anyone has been thru this please let me know ur story..... im very scared.

Make sure you are getting enough protein!! Protein IS VERY IMPORTANT IN WOUND HEALING. There is a reason they want a high protein diet after surgery.

Thank you very much! Ur very right!

I agree with the protein for your healing. Also, do as the doc instructs, keep it clean, wash your hands any time you have to touch it, even if you are wearing gloves. Also, signs of infection would be a fever, redness, pus or pain at the site. I'm sure you will heal up just fine. Just monitor yourself closely.
