You won't believe me when I say this, but it's true- it went faster than I expected it to. And I'm really glad I had that time to truly learn to stop drinking while eating, to chew better, how to measure out my food and make the right kind of meals... and use that time to research research research! Get a Lap Band book or two and learn EVERYTHING you can- you will never regret it.

I'm heading on my 3rd month next week and it has been going very fast. At first I was thinking that it would take forever but I'm moving right along. Before you know it, 6 month will be gone. This has been a learning tool for me also, I have lost only 2 lbs but I'm not gaining. This is my time to learn how to eat because most of the time I starve myself then I'm really hungry, so I will eat without chewin properly. I still have issues, but its getting better I do not want a stuck episode after banding. Also, I'm learning to get my water in and try different protein shakes. All I can say is that I'm preparing for banding. Use this time as prebanding prep time. Remember to research and read some of the post here, I have found them to be very helpful. Good luck to you during your journey.
