OTC meds

My doctor has only told me no Advil. I'm breaking extra stregth Tylenol in half. It's raining here and I will need to take OTC sinus meds today. I should prob call them. I'm also wondering I'm on full liquids to babymy stomach and passing hard pills thru?? Am I defeating the purpose here??
