need some direction

Hello all. Just recently was diagnosed with pcos and sleep apnea. I have decided to take the first step in the lapband journey. I have Kaiser and live in Sacramento. My pcp sent a referral for me to attend a class next week. Just wondering if anyone knows the timeframe for surgery? My bmi is 38 but since I have pcos and sleep apnea will that speed up the process?

The timeline is all dependent on what your insurance requires. You can call you insurance and see if they have a supervised diet requirement. My insurance required a 3 month supervised diet. My first consultation with my dr was march 28th. And my surgery was august 2nd... So about 4 months total.
