Stuffy nose/bad cough

I just had surgery on September 7 and since then I had a stuffy nose and it's getting worse. I don't cough a lot, but through out the day I'll have an itchy throat and cough for a while then it will stop, but I had a bad cough this morning, one of those thick loud one. I have asthma as well, so it's easier for me to get sick. It was pretty freezing at the hospital and it's getting colder now where I live. So I don't know what to do. I know people tell me to call the doctor, but he's out for the next week for some convention or meeting crap.

Call both your Surgeon's office, and PCP Office.Tell them your Dr. is off for a week. Or see who is covering for him.

I don't know wich one is out ? So try both. Someone will help you.
