I jumped through hoops for 2 years in preparation of this surgery. Final step was loosing the required weight (pre-op diet). Of course I followed the diet. Nothing was going to get in my way at that point.

Having said that, I did have a "last meal"

Final meeting and weigh in was a Friday for a Monday surgery. Went out and had my last meal Saturday night.

pre op diets seem to vary depending on the surgeon. Mine wasnt that bad. I followed it to the T. I started 2 weeks pre op. I drank 3 protein shakes a day and had 2 meals a day that included 3 oz of lean protein, 1/2 cup non starchy veggies, and 2 cups of salad( no ice burg) with 2 tbs of dressing.
