I am 36 and it took me over a year of contemplating getting the ban before I finally did it. I was nervous and scared to have surgery, but I also wanted to be there for a long life to watch my kids grow up. My dad has had a stroke and 2 heart attacks, high blood pressure and diabetes, and I knew if I didn't do something, I would be right there too someday. I don't regret it at all. best decision I ever made, but it was my decision, no one else's. You are the only one who can decide. Write out a list of the pros and cons of getting banded or staying overweight and unhealthy.

Wishing you the best luck!

Yep ! When you get Banded it is a fill after fill process to reach your goal where you are comfortable.

When this happens, you will still be able to eat Healthy food ! BUT,,,,, There is something inside you

that actually causes your cravings to eat, and I am not talking just Head Hunger. For me, when I am in my comfort zone, it doesn't really act up.

So you don't think about food that much at all, or feel the Hunger.

For me,,, that was a major concern. To have that practically deadened, makes it all possible.

Glad you made a decision, and hope this helps.

Shirley.

For me it has absolutely been the right choice. I've only had my band for 3 months, but I am very, very happy!

Be sure to research everything thoroughly. If you have the drive and dedication, it will work great for you!

Good Luck at your meeting!

Congrats!!! This is one of the best decisions you could make!! :)
