I feel great right now and really am ready to do some activity. Any tips?

Ive been on the treadmill on Day 2 and Day 3 with no problem. I would say just do something light and watch how your body feels after. Did your doctor say anything about exercising? Mine encouraged walking for the gas so I figured the treadmill at a low speed wouldn't be a problem. So far so good!

my doctor said no streneous exercise for 2 weeks post op, but i could do some walking.

I had a one week post-op appointment with my Dr., just as a routine follow up to check incisions, etc. I asked him then if I could go back to the gym and he said "No problem, just don't get carried away"

Before that, I walked a great deal. That's the only way to relieve the gas pains in chest and shoulder.

AWESOME...THANKS FOR THE REPLYS

I am 2 weeks out and I am doing Wii fit for 30 min a day and Zumbe everyother day for 20 min. My dr said to be careful. No jumping, etc. If it hurts, I dont do it. I have nver been one to exersize, but this has given me a want to.

My doc told me that walking a week post op is a MUST but to leave strenuous activity (like weight lifting over 10 lbs) to a month post op.
