Need a Buddy in Cincinnati/NKY Area

Hello all!

I am scheduled for surgery on 8/17/11 and am looking for someone who has gone through this already who can be either a workout partner or someone to listen & share experiences. I'm a 27 yr old woman, looking to lose about 140-150lbs with the band!

Thanks!

Amanda

Where do you live? I am from Crittenden, Ky.... I was just banded 2 weeks ago and need to lose around 170 lbs. I keep using excuses on why I can't workout but have to make that a regular part of my life from now on. It is just so hard to get back to the gym. I plan on going back tomorrow.

I can understand the feeling. I got banded in May 2011 and have been on this journey alone. It is so hard when you don't have anyone to talk to and share the ups and downs. I live in Evansville IN and I don't know anyone who has had the lapband here. Since my surgery, I'm down 34 pounds and exercising is the hardest part for me. I work long hours and I just need that extra support.

I think I could more motivated if I had someone to talk to. It is hard but I know you can do it. I have been walking about 1.5 miles 3 days a week. I know it is not enough but that is my comfort zone right now and I don't think I could do anymore.
