Head hungry

For the last two days I've not been truly hungry, just head hungry. I can put off true hunger with water but head hunger? It is kicking my butt. I keep thinking about food. Yesterday I gave in some but that didn't help so today I am trying to ignore it. Bike ride time! Any suggestions?

Anything that you like to do, to keep it out of your head.

Distraction is the key. I often come here and read posts and answer if I have any words of wisdom to keep myself on track. The worst thing for me is to watch TV. Call a friend, go online and plan a vacation to a dream destination (you dont have to go just plan like you have unlimited funds), read, organize a drawer or closet, meditate. Come up with several ideas and keep a list handy so that when you have times like this you can check out the list and keep yourself busy.

Good Luck!

I know head hunger is about the hardest thing to deal with. I dont know if their is really any solutions other then distracting yourself as the other ladies suggested. Only bit I have to add is to be sure and pat yourself on the back when you realize you are stronger then it. I know I love the feeling of knowing that I am in control of my food instead of the food controlling me. You can do this.

I rode my bike 5 miles and ran 1.5 miles I feel better now. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I think it hormonal. I've gained water weight since yesterday and feel crampy if it is it should pass soon.

I have had the exact same problem. :( I got a fill today, so hopefully it will kick my self control and motivation back into gear. I hope your head hunger goes away soon! Good luck dear!
