Hello all! I am new to this site and would like to hear some success stories! I need a boost!

I like to think of myself as a success story. I was banded 12/20/08 and lost 90 pds. I went from size 22-24 to size 8-10. I am 58 yrs old and thought this never possible to lose this weight one more time. I have been stable for the last 2 1/2 yrs with fluctuations of 5-6 pds up and down. I do occasionally have my piece of pie or chips or popcorn and then go back to basics to keep myself down in weight. Everyday is a learning experience for me. Some days I can eat hamburg, others I cannot. Every day is different with the band. I do not eat bread or sugar products. Everything is sugar free and bread is a "stuck" for me and I keep away from it totally. I did have my days of what did I do to myself when I cannot eat something I used to eat in my "fat" days, but I look at my size 10 pants and all the compliments and being totally off of all meds and think, " WOW" what a wonderful life I have now. My knees and feet don't ache when I take long walks and I have the energy of a teenager again. I am not saying it is perfect, when you find you cannot eat a lot of the foods you used to, but I try to think of the good things and how healthy and great you look. You can do this and you just have to keep reminding yourself that there is more to life than that big fat piece of cheesecake! Remember eat to live, not live to eat!
