Post op troubles

I got banded July 21st and I am having some post op pain. I am extremely sore from all the gas in my cavity and I feel like I have to burp every time I eat or drink. I do not burp which makes it more uncomfortable. I am pretty sure all is still okay from the procedure b/c I have not vomited and can keep some solids down. Anyone have any tips on getting rid of the gas? Walking helps some and gas-x does not help at all. From what i've read, time is the only thing that will help. Also, i hiccup every now and then and it is very uncomfortable. Is that normal?

For me it turns out that that feeling like an air bubble is stuck and you have to burp means you have eaten to much. That is your new "full Feeling" especially if you are on cream type soups. So FYI :)

I am 3 days post op. I have not vomited. I just feel bloated. Still very tender. I find it hard getting in and out of bed. But so far so good.

I'm on day 4 post-op. Went back to work today, which may have been jumping the gun a bit! I had gas trapped under my ribs ALL day. Had to leave work early due to the pain. Gas-x didn't relieve it, walking didn't help. Just had to wait til it passed. I've had a lot of hiccups too and they do hurt quite a bit!

Man hiccups do hurt. I cant explain the feeling but it hurts

Heating pad will help with the gas
