Hi all

Getting banded July 21 and starting my 10 days of liquids. Have picked up some Atkins choc & strawberry shakes and the choc is tasty. Also have a gallon of water with me today. Any other shake suggestions would be appreciated.

I am in the preop period and asked the same question. In searching the boards for the same answer, it seems that men tend to prefer Myoplex or Muscle Milk light. I tried a chocolate Muscle Milk light yesterday for lunch. I was surprised how well it filled me up and satisfied me. I am going to try a myoplex next.

I honestly don't like any of the premade ones. I mix a scoop of muscle milk powder (vanilla) in with carnation instant breakfast (chocolate) and skim milk. It tastes like a chocolate malt.

Thanks for the help all. Will be headed to GNC this afternoon. Have been very happy with the Atkins shakes past 2 days also. 1 shake and a big glass of water is keeping me satisfied for about 4 hours so doing its job.

Got a call from Dr office that the insurance couldn't get approval by july 21 so surgery rescheduled to aug 28. Better than a flat out no. Proved to myself I could go 2 days on liquid diet and think I will stick with the protein shakes for breakfast & lunch until then. Best of luck to everyone getting their bands soon. Will join you in 6 weeks or so.
