I had both a hiatal hernia and a ventral hernia repaired during my surgery, and I experienced nothing like what you describe. Have you called your surgeon and asked about that?

Dave

Do you have any other symptoms like swelling or redness? Is the incision warm/hot to the touch? I would definitely call my doctor.

No but i plan on callin him 2morrow. I was not very concerned at first cause it was only lasting a short period of time but now it has happend twice. Nope no redness or swelling.

Call your Surgeon ASAP.

My incision where the port is gave me a burning sensation at times. It never lasted 15 minutes, but it happened more than once. I assumed it was probably nerves healing since I had no swelling or other signs of infection and it went away after a little bit. However, I still recommend calling your surgeon just to be on the safe side, especially since you had a hernia repair along with the band placement.
