What do you eat each day?

I know that this may be asking a lot of you to answer, but I was wondering if some of you bandsters out there that have been banded for awhile and have a reached a good restriction, or anyone who is loosing weight consistantly, what you eat during the day. I am just starting to get my fills, and right now, I am still struggling with being hungry every couple of hours. I am trying to keep track of my calories, but i think that I am eating way too much still. I am doing great with the protien, but still hungry after two hours. Maybe I am not eating the right things to hold me over. I am hoping to get some new ideas of what the "ideal" day of eating looks like from fellow bandsters that are further in this journey than me. Any input would be helpful if you feel up to writing back! Thanks a bunch!

There's usually a daily post at Obesity Help's lapband forum where everyone lists what they're eating that day. http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/lapband/page,1/

Today I had:

shake for Breakfast

House salad "small" for lunch.

Breaded chicken Leg, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Then a container of Gravy for dipping my Chicken.

I am 6mos post op and I LOVED bread and Cereal. I would eat cereal anytime of the day. Since before surgery my dietician had me stop cereal and substitute with eggs. I haven't eaten a bowl of cereal for 8 mos!! I don't even crave it. I haven't eaten a roll/bread at a restaurant which was a little more difficult but when I analyzed it....I realized my body wasn't craving it, *I* just wanted it since that is what I always did at a restaurant....eat bread before my meal. I am able to eat Wheat Thins but only at night. I am too tight in the AM and become more loose as the day goes on.

My day is:

Hot tea

Lunch-greek yogurt with high Protein granola

handful of choco chips or choco milk

dinner-chicken, ground turkey, and veggie or fruit

cheese and wheat thins

Breakfast: 12 oz soy milk with Chai tea for flavor (I'm too tight in the morning to eat but this gives me Protein, sugar, and calories to get me thruogh). If I'm not too tight (or it's later in the morning but not really early afternoon), oatmeal (Trader Joe's blueberry flax with 1 tsp dried blueberries and 8 almonds crushed).

Lunch: I won't eat at work because I'm way too far away from a bathroom to make it worthwhile. But I keep Protein shakes and Isopure handy and always have some Soup if I need it. Generally though I am not hungry at work so it's not a problem.

Dinner: usually 1.5-2 cups of food including: 2 vegetarian tacos (1-2 tbsp soy burger with seasoning, tomatoes, lettuce, shredded sharp cheese, taco sauce, light sour cream or greek yogurt) - OR - tilapia, green Beans, brown rice - OR - angel hair Pasta, broccoli, garlic, pine nuts, sundried tomatoes, fresh tomatoes - OR - soup - OR - salad - OR - a tofu wrap (tortilla, tofu chunks, veggies, balsamic dressing, feta cheese)

Breakfast is a shake, greek yougurt mixed with a packet of oatmeal or 2 hard boiled eggs and a fruit.

lunch is salad with chicken, soup, tuna with fat free saltines or a Protein like turkey meatballs or leftover chicken from dinner

Dinner is a protein and vegetable like turkey meatloaf, piece of chicken, hamburger patty or something like chili.

my day is the following{

am coffee with equal, cream 7am

8am Water with benefiber

11-12 muscle milk light 100 cal shake

water water water all day long and a 3pm coffee with cream

3-4pm muscle milk

just had 3rd fill so dinner is real small now =)

i make canned chicken salad ( light mayo, red onion, ranch dressing from pachage, like seasoning)

steam fresh garlic cauliflower mashed up like mashed potatoes with laughing cow french onion

and i used to eat a small salad with feta, tomoatoes, red onion and garlic expressions dressing.

or i have 4oz chicken, fish ect

i snack on sf ice pops, and frozen yogurt, almonds, and a small piece oc chocolate,

but after my3rd fill i have not had that snack urge

I have not had 3 small meals yet, i stay on 2 shakes and 1 dinner, i have not felt like i need more food then mydinner, but we will see

thanks for sharing everyone, i see some good ideas mmmmmm

Just wondering why you need to be near a bathroom to eat lunch? I wish I wasn't hungry at work...I have to go to lunch between 12:00-12:30 and I'm not hungry at that time, but by 2:30-3:00 I'm starving! This has been a challenge for me...because by the time I get home to make dinner for the family, I am ravenous and looking for anything to control the hunger beast. Doesn't help that we eat dinner late...usually around 7:00. I need to figure out how to spread out the food during the day.

Unless I eat something like soup, that I know will go through without issues, I could get stuck and I can't be vomiting in my cube.

Ohhhh...ok. I have never had anything get stuck. I've only had one fill and I still have no restriction :(

I am waiting for the day that I actually feel full and my stomach is not constantly growling all day long.

Do you throw up a lot or are you just scared to throw up at work? I have only PBd a couple of times but each time I had plenty of notice where I would have been able to walk to the bathroom and take care of things. The only time I have heard of people unexpectedly throwing up is when they drink something to try to get a piece of food that is stuck to go down...from what I've heard, that can be ugly ;) .
